Women
"For God is not a God of disorder but of peace," proclaims 1 Corinthians 14:33.
The lives of many modern Christian women are often full of both emotional and physical clutter. Women are not only feeling crushed by the weight of all their physical "stuff," but also by the endless distractions available through their smartphones and other gadgets. If you feel like all of this clutter is starting to pull you down, then here are five steps you can take to declutter your life:
- Let go of possessions that you do not need
Successfully decluttering your life means that you are going to have to get rid of material possessions that serve no purpose other than to distract you and stress you out. Take a day or two to go through your closet and your shelves and either donate or throw away anything that you have no need for. The less "things" you have to worry about, the less cluttered the rest of your life will feel.
- Keep your workspace clean and organized
If you are looking to declutter your life, then the most important space to pay attention to is your work area. Some people have no trouble working in the middle of a mess, but most find it to be too distracting to work in an unorganized space. Devote a few hours to tidying up your desk, and you will be able to think more clearly when it is time to work.
- Find time to unplug from the online world
Spending too much time browsing the internet can create a lot of clutter in your brain. Putting a stop to this habit is about more than simply increasing your productivity. Taking breaks from the internet can help you find the time to relax and unwind, not to mention that you need to let your eyes rest once in a while as well.
- Stop multitasking
Multitasking, far from helping you complete many projects at once, is actually the antithesis of productivity. There really is no such thing as multitasking, because all you end up doing is disjointedly bouncing from one task to another. Doing one task at a time can help you feel a lot less frazzled, and ultimately a lot less stressed.
- Spend some time with God
Making room in your life for some quiet time with God is probably the single best way to find the peace and simplicity that you have been craving. "For God is not a God of disorder but of peace," proclaims 1 Corinthians 14:33. Devoting some time to prayer and to reading inspirational daily Bible verses can help to put things in perspective and allow you to see what is truly important.
The God of peace is always there to aid you in sifting through the clutter or everyday life. Finding ways to live more simply is very important in the world of today. Learn how to get rid of all of life's unimportant distractions, and you will have more time on your hands to breathe, reflect, and focus more on the things that make you happy.
Spiritual Prayer
My heart rejoices in the Lord; my horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth is bold against my enemies because I rejoice in Your salvation. There is none Holy as the Lord, For there is none besides You, and there is no rock like our God. Do not multiply proud speech, nor let arrogance come out of your mouth, for the Lord is the God of Knowledge, and by Him actions are examined. The bows of the mighty are broken, but those who stumbled are girded with strength. Those that were full have hired out themselves for bread and those that were hungry ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven and she that has many children waste away. The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich. He brings low and lifts up. He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the oppressed from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit a throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth belong to the Lord, and He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked will be silent in darkness. For by strength shall no man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord will be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them out of heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to His king and exalt the horn of the anointed.
