Christian Youth & Young Adults

Dostoevsky once said that, "The soul is healed by being with children." Christian men and women in particular are spiritually encouraged by God and by the Bible to cherish their children and to value the time they spend together. One of the best ways to do this is to take a break from it all and plan a family vacation. Though your children may understand that you work hard in order to take care of them, they likely wish that they could have more quality time with you, time when you either aren't thinking about work or rushing off to work.

Las Vegas is a great place to go and spend some quality time with your kids. First, you need to search online to purchase tickets to any of the shows or concerts you had like to see while you are there (you cannot visit Vegas without checking out some of the legendary entertainment, after all!). But did you know that there are also great activities available in Vegas for your kids too?

While Las Vegas may have earned the name "Sin City" due to its proliferation of adult entertainment options, today's Vegas also offers many family-friendly activities such as:

1) The Adventuredome

Located on Las Vegas Boulevard, Adventuredome at Circus Circus is the largest indoor theme park in all of America. It houses five-and-a-half acres of every type of ride imaginable, from coasters, to bumper cars, to laser tag. You can easily spend a whole day at this park and not run out of things to do.

2) Las Vegas Natural History Museum

For those burgeoning young scientists, or, simply for those children who love animals, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum is a fantastic place to check out. Easily accessible and located just five miles from the Las Vegas Strip, it will offer your kids the chance to see everything from a real woolly mammoth tooth to gigantic models of whales.

3) Discovery Children's Museum

Sticking to the museum theme, the Discovery Children's Museum is also worth a visit. With three stories of interactive exhibits on art, culture, and science, your kids will have a blast while learning a few new things along the way.

4) Wet 'n' Wild Water Park

With over 25 different attractions, the Wet 'n' Wild Water Park has something on its 33.5 acres for every member of the family. Thrill seekers can try out some of the more intense slides, while there is still lots left to do for the little ones and for adults who'd prefer to relax in a lazy river.

5) M&M's World

Chocolate fans everywhere will have a blast at M&M's World. Located right on the corner of Tropicana Avenue and the Las Vegas Strip, this 4-story M&M Disneyland is where you can give into your chocolate cravings. After all, you are on vacation! There is also lots of fun M&M memorabilia to choose from, so pick up a souvenir.

6) Big Apple Coaster

Adventurous parents with equally adventurous children should not pass up the opportunity to ride the Big Apple Coaster. This thrill ride not only offers loops and drops and high speeds, but also an unforgettable view of the Las Vegas Strip for those brave enough to keep their eyes open.

7) The Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel

Where can you see over 4,000 colorful, exotic fish in one place? At the Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel of course! What is more, this 117,000 gallon tank also comes with its own residential cast of mermaids. Your kids will definitely be entertained for a long time, and you will have a chance to sit down and rest after a long day of theme parks and museums.
